The Honda has launched the WN7 in Europe, its first fast electric motorcycle in the medium displacement naked category.

The company, which has been investing in vehicle electrification in pursuit of carbon neutrality, had already introduced electric utility models, such as the Benly e and the Gyro e, but is now moving into motorcycles more geared towards leisure. The name WN7 comes from “Be the Wind” (W) and “naked” (N), while the 7 indicates the bike’s power class.

The WN7 has not yet had its full technical specifications released, but Honda claims its performance rivals that of 600cc combustion motorcycles in power and 1000cc bikes in torque. The estimated range is over 130 km per charge, and the lithium-ion battery is fixed, requiring direct connection to a socket. The fast CCS2 charging allows it to go from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, while a full recharge at home takes about three hours.

The model also comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display and compatibility with the RoadSync app, offering smartphone connectivity. Despite its modern design, with mirrors at the ends of the handlebars and bold front headlights, details on price and availability have not yet been revealed.

This launch marks the beginning of Honda’s EV Fun line, expanding the brand’s presence in the electric leisure motorcycle segment.
